Busy day…

Had another incredibly productive day… I met the green business owners of Abbot Kinney trying to get a feel for what is happening over on the Westside and it was pretty impressive to see the products and stories being told on this street. I highly recommend checking out any of these places: Bazar, Double Vision, Tortoise, Equator Bookstore, Vert, A+R, and Topo Ranch. All good stuff.  Pic above of the Tina’s Bazar space was taken off shopping blog la.racked.com.

I spent the second half of my day helping the producers of Alter Eco set up an eco-fashion photo shoot with Angela Lindvall that we are greening for Vogue Espana, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month with Kate Moss x 4 on the cover; and re-connecting with Anna Griffin who is putting out a beautiful online eco-fashion magazine in the next few months, Eco Bella. Will keep you posted on Anna as she blazes her trail.

Caught up with the former marketing director of Wild Oats (which has since merged with Whole Foods) and now super cool chillaxing green guy Jim Price for dinner with some yummy Korean porridge at Bonjuk and talked about everything from Obama to religion to the City of Santa Monica’s political green scene and his Swedish roommates. Good times.

Tomorrow we will have our hands full of beautiful fair-trade certified pink roses from Asiri Blooms to be delivered for an awards event at the Millenium Biltmore
in Downtown LA.
