Sara Daleiden of LA Urban Rangers

Had a blind late lunch date yesterday with Sara Daleiden at Mapo in Koreatown on 6th and Normandie. Charlene from Freewaves connected us, insisting that “our brains work the same” and I have to say that Charlene was pretty much right. Sara is a visual artist and sculptor who wears many hats – one of which is for the LA Urban Rangers, which is a very interesting group of four women who offer unique and unusual walking tours of the city. Sara and I chatted about her experiences as a child walking all over Milwaukee, the upcoming 2008 Malibu Secretly Public Beach Tours the Rangers are putting on this summer, understanding and re-imagining what you see, among many other fascinating things. I wish Sara well as she leaves to the Netherlands for a two-month residency where she will MC a huge event and provide guided tours of a place she has never explored. Thanks, Charlene.
